The 37th Annual MS Sydney To The Gong ride will once again pass through the Northern Illawarra this Sunday- which means thousands of cyclists heading South on Lawrence Hargrave Drive.
According to the website:- www.msgongride.org.au, the event has raised more than $1.7 million dollars to support people living with MS.
There are two courses for the event.
The 82 kilometre ride kicks off from Sydney at 6am with the last start time 8am.
The 58 kilometre ride starts from Engadine at 8am- with the last riders leaving at 8.45am.
The riders pass through the National Park then down Bald Hill, across the Sea Cliff Bridge, to Thirroul, then on to the Gong.
The riders will be using the south-bound lane of Lawrence Hargrave Drive until mid-afternoon.
Drivers are being asked to avoid the road or plan your trip accordingly.
