Coalcliff Surf Club’s Bombie Bar has found a new home and will kick-off at Coledale RSL on Friday February 9.
The closure was devastating to the surf club, who depended on the revenue from the monthly event, and also affected local musicians and music lovers who were suddenly without a venue.
The Coledale RSL Bombie marks a union between two local, iconic institutions and launches with the grooving blend of brass, percussion, smooth electric guitar and synth that is local band Garfish.
Garfish will be supported by Dean Kelly, with the music starting at 7pm.
The Bombie Bar has served as a fundraiser for essential equipment needed by the Coalcliff Surf Life Saving Club for over half a decade, and the revitalisation of the Bombie Bar will allow the surf club to continue to thrive and be a place of fun and laughter for children on a Sunday morning during Nippers.
Tickets are $20 online and $25 at the door.
