Local charity organisation Need a Feed is holding a fantastic event in Crown Street Mall, Wollongong.
They’re setting up a Pan-Crepe Bar, with all proceeds going to help those less fortunate.
The event includes a visit from the i98FM Street Fleet with the Breakfast crew, Maje, Scott McRae, social media guru Adrian D’Amico and Mayor Gordon Bradbury on hand to flip, and chat with the hungry patrons.
Charity founder Shaz Harrison-Shaw says the idea is to sell food, so they can buy more food for families in need.
“The money we raise by selling the crepes will mean we can feed and support more people,” she says. “Our team of volunteers will be on hand, we will have a ‘grassy’ area with bar tables and stools, plenty of coffee and yummy toppings to make the event loads of fun.”
Shaz says this is the first time they’ve dome something like this, but hope it will become an annual event.
“40,000 people have seen the event on Facebook,” she says. “700 have expressed an interest, so it could be a really busy, but fun, event!”
You can pick up a crepe (because they’re classier than pancakes) from the Mall next Friday, March 3 from 8am- 1pm.
