The Sea Cliff Bridge is to feature in a new movie currently being shot in the Illawarra region.
‘Back of the Net’ features US Disney Channel star Sofia Wylie.
Sofia is best known for her role as ‘Andi Mack’ but is also an accomplished singer and dancer who has worked alongside Justin Bieber, and boasts more than a million followers on Instagram.
In ‘Back to the Net’, Sofia plays Cory Bailey, who mistakenly boards the bus for the ‘Harold Soccer Academy’ instead of the ‘Harold Academy Semester at Sea’, leaving her no choice but to complete the semester at the the academy.
‘Back of the Net’ is a sport-comedy for tweens, produced by The Steve Jaggi Company.
Shooting has been carried out at the Innovation Campus and other locations around Wollongong and Kiama.
This isn’t the first time Steve Jaggi has filmed in Wollongong. His Australian box office success Rip Tide was also shot in the region in 2016.
“It is terrific to be back shooting in beautiful Wollongong and Kiama,” says Steve. “We had a fantastic time filming here for Rip Tide, and didn’t hesitate to return for our latest project Back of the Net.”
Sofia and a crew of around 50 will film in the Northern Illawarra in coming weeks.
