The coastal communities of the Royal National Park around Otford have been hit hard by the weekend’s storms.
Many of the shacks sit close to sea level, and only meters from the beach, making them easy pickings in a gigantic swell.
At least one of the shacks at Bulgo has been extensively damaged when water smashed through the front window, inundating the building.
Infrastructure including ramps and stairs around the community have also been damaged and sand-loss has left the beach a rocky mess.

Infrastructure has been destroyed
Shacks have been left on land’s edge as the seas washed away the beach and the foreshore.
