The One Agency Bulli Burn is a 5 & 10km fun run, starting and finishing at the northern tip of Bulli Beach, Sandon Point, supporting beyondblue, an organisation working to reduce the impact of depression and anxiety in the community.
“The Bulli Burn is a great course along the coastal strip from Bulli to Thirroul with perfect ocean views and you might even see some dolphins!” says organiser, Nikki McCarthy Hicks from Savvy Fitness, “The Mark Scott 5km event is dedicated to 2011’s winner Mark Scott who is currently recovering from a serious cycling accident which happened in June 2011. We also have the Blue Tongue Pools 10k Run for those that need a little extra burn ;)”
“2013 is The Burn’s third year and we expect it to be another successful community event that will cater for the experienced runner through to the novice. As last year, the event will be professionally timed & results will be available online immediately. Start times will be staggered to ensure a fuss free start for all competitors. You will pick up your bib & timing chip on the day. We invite Schools, Fitness Groups & local business to register as teams & fight it out for the Trophy. Just nominate your team type then enter your school, business or fitness group name and register.”
This years event will be held on Sunday 26 May, 2013 including the Blue Tongue Pools 10k Run and the Mark Scott 5km Run with a trophy for;
- The fastest Fitness Group (top 5 times)
- The largest Corporate Group (number of employees registered for your business)
- The largest School (number of students & teachers registered for your school)
