Located at the heart of the CBD, the iconic Wollongong Town Hall has undergone some major developments, both in terms of the refurbishment of the building in 2011, as well as last years appointment of well know musician and events coordinator, Claire Roberts to the management role.
“I did my first gig at Scarborough Hotel around 1990” said Claire, “that was my first experience with the South Coast – i couldn’t believe how beautiful it was so I moved here from Miranda in 1992.”
Since then Claire developed her business Kiss Events and had been directly involved with Bulli Markets. After taking up the role of Manager at the Town Hall, she has been showcasing a broad range of artists and events including the Sydney Symphony Orchestra.
“The other great thing about the Town Hall is that Wollongong City Council supports arts and community groups, financially, so that they can come and hire the space” said Claire.
