Planning is well underway for this year’s 26th Annual Thirroul Seaside Festival which will be held on April 1, 2 and 3 2016. And it looks like being one of the best yet!
Committee spokesperson Estelle Brown says the festival is a not-for-profit event run by a committee of volunteers who work closely with the Thirroul Austinmer Lions Club.
“All money raised is donated back to the community,” she says. “In fact, since the festival began, some $700,000 has been handed back to individuals and organisations in need.”
Traditionally, the festival opens with the Art Exhibition at Thirroul Community Centre, which this year will be held onFriday April 1.
Then Saturday, the streets of Thirroul village will fill with performances, market stalls and art and artisans. Then Sunday, the park comes alive with entertainment, surf competitions, rides, animals, entertainment and so much more. It’s a weekend not to be missed.
And Estelle says with so many elements to bring together, deadlines are fast approaching!
