Stanwell Park is in line for a makeover following the sale of the commercial building on the corner of Station Street.
The building, which houses eight commercial and residential properties, including the bottle shop and the take-away, sits on 752 square meters, and hadn’t been on the market for 22 years.
It’s been snapped up by a Helensburgh local who intends to renovate the property.
“It needs a fair bit of work,” says agent Mattias Samuelsson. “But knocking it down and rebuilding is not an option as new Council regulations mean a new building on that land could only be 3/4 of the current size.
“We are unsure as to the timeframe, but believe the building will be given a facelift, which will also be of benefit to the whole of Stanwell Park.”
