The brainchild of Tracey Straw from Bevans Real Estate, Fashion@Twilight combines clothing, champagne and dancing to help raise money for the Thirroul Neighbourhood Centre.
Fashion@Twilight is a celebration of community, lifestyle, connection, women, business and fashion.
Tracey says they decided to help the centre, because it’s struggling under the weight of funding cuts.
“I organised the first event last year” says Tracey, “because I was new to the area and wanted to get to know people. It seemed a good idea to combine networking with helping those less fortunate.”
This year’s event will be held at Thiroul Surf Lifesaving Club. “It was so successful at the Neighbourhood Centre last year, this year we have had to move to a bigger space,” says Tracey. “Fashion@Twilight is such a great way to get to know people, and showcase the beautiful clothing, with pop-up-shops from our local boutiques.”
Utopia, Terence Gregory, Nicque Leather, Samantha Halmay and Olguin Photography will be represented, as will Nice Things North and the lovely Liilu.
Tracey says there will be plenty of fun, including dancing and a photo-booth, with food provided by Bella Portafino, and of course, the highlight is a breathtaking fashion parade.
“We chose Thirroul Neighbourhood Centre as our charity because we share core values,” says Tracey. “Abundance, Intelligence and Collaboration are qualities we strive to achieve and by working this way, aim to help the Neighbourhood Centre assist those less fortunate.”
Fashion@Twilight will be held at Thirroul Surf Club on Saturday July 18 from 6pm.
Tickets are $70 (which includes a chauffeur to the event, champagne on arrival, canapés and front row seating. Or $50 which includes champagne and canapés. Receipts are tax-deductible.
