Stanwell Park comes alive this weekend for the annual Festival of Flight.
In the meantime, a mural celebrating Lawrence Hargrave has been unveiled in outside the shops in Stanwell Park, telling the story of Hargrave’s contribution to aviation.
HARS (the Albion-Park based historical aircraft society) will conduct the HARS- Lawrence Hargrave-Eric Waite Memorial Flyover at 1pm on Sunday.
The event will feature four historic aircraft, including Connie the 1955 Super Lockheed Constellation, all flying below the height of Bald Hill, with several passes over the beach.
Skydive the beach will drop a few parachutists in around midday, then at 12.30, there will be a Southern Bi-Plane fly-over
There will also be an exhibition of hang gliders and paragliders.
Hard to know what the best vantage point will be!
There will also be plenty of action on the ground, with markets, food stalls and live music.
