Now you can go to Coledale markets AND Foragers!
For five years, Foragers markets have been operating weekly at Bulli Showground- but from April 14- Foragers will operate once a month.
In a bid to bolster crowds and stallholders, organiser Kirrily Sinclair has decided to consolidate resources.
“When Foragers began in 2014, we identified that the local community and producers needed a weekly farmers market to offer fresh produce,” she says. “A weekly hub, it quickly became a vibrant event, eventually evolving into a market which embraced artisans and makers too.
“The climate and popularity of markets though has changed over time. The markets have been impacted by customers’ increased ability to purchase most things online including fresh produce. People no longer come to do a weekly shop like they once did, instead, monthly markets are in favour, as they are more of an event to look forward to.
“While it has been a tough decision to make, with extremely mixed feelings we need to move forward and continue to provide the Illawarra with events that flourish and support our community and artisans.
“Moving to once a month will enable us to bring a bigger, fuller market to Bulli for the community to enjoy!”
