With school holidays drawing to a close, it’s time to think about school lunches.
Life Wellness Co is holding a Fuel 4 Kids workshop from 1-3 at the Flame Tree Co-Op in Thirroul on January 18, to give you a range of healthy meal and snack options for your kids.
Run by wellness coach and nutritionist Stephanie Meades, the two hour session includes information on the nasty additives to avoid, followed by demonstrations of a series of recipes your kids will love.
“We start with ‘balls’ and a muffin recipe,” says Stephanie. “The muffin recipe is great because it’s a basic mix that you can add to, depending on what’s in season or what your family likes to eat.”
The workshop also includes a healthy ice cream, three styles of chocolate mousse and even a few healthy lollies.
“There are simple steps you can take to make your family meals more nutritious,” says Stephanie. “You’ll leave our workshop having tasted all the foods in your recipe booklet, and with some great ideas to help your family make more nutritious choices.”
