A locally-run campaign has been hailed a success with more than 1200 nappies collected in the Northern Illawarra and distributed to local families in crisis.
The Nappy Collective, in conjunction with Helensburgh’s Switched On Tyres ran the campaign to support women in need and families affected by domestic violence.
Nappy Collective founder Sandra Jacobs says a handful of nappies makes a huge difference. “They may not mean much to your or I but they are essential for young families, and they show women in need our community truly cares.”
Switched on Tyres owner Brooke Cheffirs says the donations are an example of community spirit at its best.
“We are amazed at the generosity of our community and would like to thank everyone, for their enthusiasm and their support.”
