The Rural Fire Service is calling on all Northern Illawarra residents to spend the weekend of September 10 and 11 preparing for the upcoming Bushfire season.
The RFS will hold events and activist across the region all weekend, to give us a chance to chat about what we should be doing and the best ways to do it.
Illawarra District Superintendent Greg Wardle says now is the time to get ready.
“RFS volunteers have been preparing for this season by carrying out hazard reduction burns, maintaining equipment and undergoing training.
“Get Ready weekend is the chance for residents to do their bit.”
