Wollongong City Council is developing a draft City of Wollongong Bike Plan to create better quality and safer cycling opportunities throughout the area over the next five years.
Wollongong City Lord Mayor Councillor Gordon Bradbery is encouraging all community members, and visitors to comment so Council can develop a draft Bike Plan.
“We would like to hear from as many cyclists and people who don’t cycle about what they look forward to and what will prevent them from cycling in the city,” Cr Bradbery said.
“The development of a draft Bike Plan will help us plan and create a better connected city that encourages more bicycling in the city and also safer riding experiences among healthier citizens. To move towards these goals we need to hear from many people on what creates a great bicycling city.”
All community members are invited to tell us about your bike use, why you cycle, and what stops you from cycling more. This will help us to develop the draft Plan, and ensure Wollongong is a healthy community and we have a liveable city.
