A community dog walk has been organised for Sunday 22nd June along McCauley’s off-leash Beach to raise money for Wollongong Animal Rescue Network (WARN), in association with Paw Trails, The Dog Project, and Bang Bang & Fluff.
“This is the first Community dog walk that I have organised” said Abbie Lovell from Paw Trails, “the original walks were organised by ‘The Dog Project’ (dog trainers) and ‘Bang Bang and Fluff’ (dog groomers) who are based at Fairy Meadow Greencross vets.”
“It’s also a great way to meet new people and socialise whilst walking your dog. If you have ever been to McCauley’s off leash beach on a Sunday morning, you will know how busy the dog beach can get with families walking their dogs!
“Therefore why not raise money for such a good cause doing what we do most weekends and enjoy it in a social setting! The walk will meet at 9.30am at Sandon Point car park and we will walk along the bike track to McCauley’s beach and back again.”
“We hope to organise similar walks in various locations around the Northern Illawarra every 4-6 weeks, with money being raised being channelled to various animal charities.”
