Fitness and Circus will blend seamlessly into one at the Helensburgh Fitness Centre Open Day on Saturday September 12.
The open day will fuse fitness competitions, squash tournaments, circus performances, market stalls and a jumping castle to celebrate everything the centre has to offer the local community and surrounding suburbs.
New owner Benjamin Abeleven wants the centre to be a healthy, community hub.
“We are giving this tired old girl a facelift,” says Benjamin. “We have already invested in new fitness equipment, and the forest wall in the cardio room makes it a great place to train.
“The Helensburgh Fitness Centre is now a rewarding place that’s exciting to be a part of. The centre is now home to dance schools, circus programs, gym kids classes, boot camps, yoga, pilates and personal trainers. It’s also a venue for birthday parties! Our Open Day will showcase all this.”
Everyone is welcome to pop in to the open day to have a look, and take part in the festivities.
“The main stage will be alive all day with performances and fitness competitions,” says Benjamin. “Tina Green will perform her fire hoops while riding a 7 foot unicycle, fitness class demos will charge up the stage, Louise Clark and Charlie Truscott will take to the air, spinning and ‘flying’ while the gym and circus kids show us all their tricks.”
There will be special gym deals for new members who sign up on the day, with loads of prizes to be won. And the centres crèche will also run free of charge, with activities all day.
The Open Day will be held on Saturday September 12 from 9am-2pm at Helensburgh Fitness Centre. 338 Cemetery Rd Helensburgh.
