An iconic Stanwell Tops property is on the market.
The gorgeous old homestead was built in 1895, set back from Lawrence Hargrave Drive on 30 hectares of land. The property features seven bedrooms, five bathrooms, three self-contained apartments, a swimming pool, log fires and a large caravan.
And the animals roaming the property are included in the sale. There are horses and donkeys and up until recently alpaca. (You can read that story HERE)
The property has been operating as the Wagon Wheels Country Retreat, a B&B and wedding venue for years (read the reviews HERE).
The long-time owner has listed the property with a Chinese-based real estate agency Ausun, presumably with the view to an overseas sale.
Real Estate website Domain places Stanwell Tops as an area of high demand, where properties attract six times the State average of interest!
A spokesman for Ausun said she was hoping the property would fetch around $4 million dollars.
A notice has been hand-written on the for sale sign outside The Wagon Wheels Country Retreat to say it’s now ‘Under Offer’.
It’s only a few years since 4 Headlands Ave was sold. Its sought-after location, on the edge of Glastonbury Gardens, just a short walk from Austinmer and Little Austi Beaches means it’s sure to attract cashed-up buyers.
The home is liveable, on 1780q meters of land. It’s
actually set on two titles, raising the spectre of subdivision.
The home will be auctioned on Saturday November 7
