Tradies Helensburgh has been a hive of activity over the past few weeks with a new outdoor play area, Max’s World Kids Club, building upgrades, painting and R & R Catering taking over the bistro and opening a new café. The Club is incredibly excited to be hosting an official open day on the 25th of October to coincide with the Helensburgh Country Fair.
“There’s certainly been a lot happening at Helensburgh,” says Tradies CEO Tim McAleer. “It’s taken a lot of work from a lot of people and we’re very grateful for the support we’ve had from the local community. Our aim is to create a warm, relaxing and safe environment for the whole community and we’re looking forward to being part of Helensburgh.”
The new outdoor play area and Max’s World kids club are due to open on Friday the 17th of October and are part of Tradies efforts to build a family friendly environment in the club.
“Helensburgh has a lot of young families in the area and it’s a beautiful town that attracts a lot of visitors from both Wollongong and Sydney. With the kids club and play areas, we hope to provide a venue that caters to the needs of both local and visiting families,” says Tradies Helensburgh Operations Manager, Jason McMaster. The food offerings at the Helensburgh club are also receiving an upgrade with the new R&R Catering café & bistro which opened on Wednesday the 15th of October.
“When we decided to open a café at Tradies Helensburgh, R&R Catering was our first choice,” says Jason McMaster. “Rob and Rowena have a great reputation throughout the restaurant and catering industry and are well established in Helensburgh. We really want to involve the Helensburgh community in the revival of Helensburgh Workers Club and Rob and Rowena share that passion with us.”
“We have operated R & R Cafe in Helensburgh for 11 years and therefore understand what customers expect from food and service in the Northern Illawarra,” says Rob Lisk. “Our aim is to provide creative, quality meals made from fresh produce, whilst being affordable to families.”
The R & R Catering café will be open 7 days a week from 9am – 5pm and the Bistro will be open for dinner Wednesday to Sunday.
The Tradies tent will be part of the Helensburgh Fair on the 25th of October and the club will be open for members and visitors from 9am.
