Technically it’s not a ‘new’ cafe, but it’s certainly a new look and new management for a cafe in Thirroul.
JJ’s Pies and Cakes in the main strip has been taken over by Cath (better known for her time in House 2 Home) and re-named Revive 2515.
Cath is thrilled to be fulfilling a dream of owning her own cafe and is putting her heart and soul into making the business a success.
Cath says she’s sourcing all her food from local suppliers. “All the fresh produce we use for salads, sandwich fillings, juices and smoothies comes from Bulli Fruit and Veg,” she says, “and our pies and cakes come from a baker at Figtree who also uses fresh ingredients. I want to keep things as healthy as possible.”
When it comes to coffee, Cath has also put quality to the fore, selecting beans from Gerringong roasters Daily Grind.
“It’s important the food we supply is fresh and tastes great,” she says. “We have a selection of pies, sandwiches and salads. We also have a broad range of soft drinks, and amazing coffee, roasted in the Illawarra. I’m so excited to have a place of my own and I look forward to sharing all this with my customers.”
