i98FM drive time radio announcer Maje Saba will walk through a significant chunk of the Northern Illawarra tomorrow morning as he makes his way south from Bald Hill, to the studio in Conniston, hopefully in time to start his show!
Maje has been on air at i98FM for more than a decade, so he’s a familiar part of the drive home for many locals.
He’ll be raising money for the NSW Cancer Council when he takes part in Dance for Cancer at the WIN Entertainment Centre this weekend.
“I’ve never danced before so I didn’t realise how hard it was,” says Maje. “But it’s a great cause and it’s going to be lots of fun. I have been so busy learning the steps I haven’t even tried on my costume yet- but someone told me there’s a skirt in there somewhere!”
In the lead-up, and as part of his fundraising, Maje will do the 30 kilometre walk, starting at Bald Hill at 6am on Friday (May 26).
“I’ll be collecting money along the way, and encouraging people to donate to this awesome cause. Feel free to stop and have a chat if you see me walking by!”
The i98FM Street Fleet will be at Bald Hill bright and early as Maje sets off down into Stanwell Park.
