Memorial Drive will be closed overnight from tonight until Thursday while the RMS carries out essential maintenance work.
$90,000 will be spent clearing vegetation, resurfacing the road, line marking, maintaining signs and clearing the drains.
The road will be closed between North Wollongong and Bulli between 8pm and 4am from Sunday (Feb 19) until Thursday (Feb 23) nights.
Motorists will still be able to cross Memorial Drive on intersecting roads, except at York Place.
Detours will be in place and we are being advised to add an extra 10 minutes travel time.
