Parts of Sydney were blanketed in smoke haze this morning as the RFS continues its Hazard Reduction Burns across the state in readiness for the upcoming bushfire season.
Today, crews from Austinmer join teams from Mt Kembla and Dunmore at a burn at Bola Heights in the Royal National Park.
Aircraft will be used to control this blaze and smoke will be visible from the Northern Illawarra.
Tomorrow (TUESDAY) there will be another burn near Garrawarra Hospital. This burn is being carried out with assistance from Helensburgh Rural Fire Service who will work alongside crews from Jamberoo, MtKembla, Dapto and Oak Flats.
The NSW RFS has asked you only call Triple Zero if you see a fire without a fire truck in attendance.
