Wondering what’s going in to the old milk bar on the South side of Thirroul?
It’s about to become a Mexican restaurant.
Local family and well-known businesspeople the Doyles will open ESCONDIDOS in early January.
Puerto Escondidos is a famous Mexican surf spot.
Owner Anne Doyle says they’re currently stripping and fitting out the space, once famous as the Northern Delite Milk Bar.
“We’ve been doing our research,” says Anne. “We’ve been to every Mexican restaurant we could find so we know what works, what we need and exactly what we want to do.
“Escondidos will be fully licensed, so you can enjoy a Sangria with your tacos and burritos,” she says.
“We’re planning theme nights, but we will always offer traditional Mexican food at affordable prices. And we will continue to source our produce locally, because we feel it’s vital to support other local businesses.”
