The Nappy Collective is on again.
Local families are being asked to donate new nappies to charity, to support women in crisis, families in need and families affected by domestic violence.
The charity has partnered with local business Switched On Tyres, which is the drop-off point for this year’s collection.
Last year’s campaign saw the Helensburgh business collect an impressive 1675 new nappies, all of which were distributed by the Nappy Collective to help families in need.
“This is a fantastic initiative,” says business owner Brook Cheffirs. ” We are committed to giving back to the local community so are proud to be a designated drop off point. The nappies are given to women in need, be they families in crisi of mothers in shelters escaping domestic violence.”
Charity founder Sandra Jacobs says a small donation means a lot to a mother in need. “A handful of nappies may not mean much to you or I but they make a huge impact to the people who receive them, and they show the mother the community truly cares. ”
Nappies will be accepted at Switched On Tyres from May 5-19. Unit 10, 21 Cemetery Rd Helensburgh.
