Heathcote MP Lee Evans has presented the $20,000 jet ski as part of the 2016 Community Building Partnership Program , because for the past 18 months, the club has been forced to borrow a jet ski from SLSNSW.
The RWC patrol takes in the area from Bundeena south, with the four proficient drivers, Barry Allen, Adam McAughey, Leo Stevens and Rob Deacon on 24 hour call in case of emergency.
The crew has been involved in body retrievals and the rescue of rock fishermen, hang gliders and para gliders who have experienced difficulties at Stanwell Park.
Mr Evans says the State Government has committed funds to community infrastructure projects to enhance much-needed local facilities. “This grassroots funding directly benefits our community, delivering a variety of new infrastructure for schools and community groups. I am thrilled to present Coalcliff SLSC with this funding.”Coalcliff SLSC has a new Rescue Water Craft (RWC) and trailer
