A DA has been lodged with Wollongong Council to bring a Trash and Treasure market to Bulli Showground.
Greyhound Club Operations Manager Darren Hull says the market will be made up entirely of collectibles- just like an enormous garage sale!
Pending Council approval, the markets will be held on Thursdays from 7.30am-1pm, and it’s hoped the first will be underway before Christmas.
“There is a similar market at Fairfield and it’s HUGE,” says Darren. “Everyone loves that show ‘American Pickers’. This will be just like that. Treasure for everyone.
“We already have enormous interest. It’s going to be cheap for stallholders to set up, so I think this is going to be a big thing for the area.”
The markets will be held on a Thursday so as not to conflict with the area’s existing markets.
