The weather is warming up, which means things are hotting up at Coalcliff Surf Club’s Bombie Bar.
Next up, on September 18, is Gold Coast band Phil Barlow and the Wolf. Last time these guys were at The Bombie Bar they supported local legend Thirsty Merc’s Rai Thistlethwayte. This time, they’re headlining!
Phil says their music is ‘gritty blues with flavours of funk and reggae’!
“We touch on a few styles,” he laughs. “We have an energetic vibe, which helps people get a little bit wild! I think you might love it!”
And as for the Bombie Bar, Phil loves it. “It opens your mind and heart before you’ve even started,” he says. “I really connect with the Northern Illawarra. I can’t wait to get back there. Last time we performed, I had to jump in the ocean right before I went on stage. It was just so close!”
Phil Barlow and the Wolf perform at The Bombie Bar on Sunday September 18.
