Local aboriculture business Bohmer’s Tree Care has been recognised for their achievements in workplace health and safety, taking out two of the six prestigious SafeWork NSW Awards.
The award is important, because on any day you could find one of the Bohmer’s boys 20 meters up a tree, ascertaining it’s health and working to ensure it stays healthy.

Director Clive Woodnutt took home the major SafeWork Leadership in Safety Award for his outstanding achievement, innovation and leadership.
Clive says he has witnessed serious injuries and fatalities in his 30 year career, but not during his time at Bohmer’s.
“My priority to to ensure my staff go home safely at the end of each working day,” he says. “I am delighted to be recognised by SafeWork NSW , who do an outstanding job at working with businesses such as Bohmers to reduce incidents in the workplace and encourage education around safety, an area that I’m particularly passionate about.”
Bohmer’s received the award which rewards businesses and individuals you have improved safety and injury management outcomes that have delivered tangible results through innovation, forward thinking and positive change.
Bohmers Tree Care holds the 2015 Local Business Award for Business trades and Services and was a finalist in two categories of the Illawarra Business Awards for Best Small Business and best Ethics.
