“Ready Steady Go Kids” is designed to prepare kids for school and sport and it begins at Bulli PCYC Tuesday 3rd February.
Local boss, Sonia Balatti says Ready Steady Go Kids is Australia’s largest multi-sport and exercise program for kids aged between 2.5 and 6, to teach them the fundamentals of 10 different sports, in a fun, social environment.
“Ready Steady Go is a national program, which has been designed by physiotherapists,” she says, “so it’s a healthy and structured way to introduce kids to sport.
“We know it’s important pre-schoolers learn from an early age that sport and physical activity is fun, so we teach the kids age-appropriate gross-motor skills, good sportsmanship and teamwork in a social and exciting environment.”
Sonia says the program has been available to kids across Australia for a while, and has been running classes in Wollongong and Coniston for the past 2 years so she’s excited to be able to bring it to the families of the Northern Illawarra.
“We combine basic sports skills and activities with lots of fun, so kids learn to love exercise and a healthy lifestyle,” she says. “We even do kid’s parties!”
Ready Steady Go Kids’s run weekly sessions for 45 minutes and the kids cover five sports every term. Enrolments are now open for Term1 for more information go to.www.readysteadygokids.com.au
