It’s time once again to register for The Great Ocean Pool Crawl.
That means joining 100 others to swim two laps of each of the seven ocean pools from Coalcliff to Towradgi, to raise money for the local branch of the Cancer Council.
Organiser Phil Murray says the event is now in it’s 13th year and aims to raise $24,000, bringing the overall total to in excess of $200,000!
Keeping the money local is important to Phil. It will be used for local cancer support services including in-home help and transport, legal, financial and emotional support, as well as to run preventative programs in local schools and communities.
“It’s great to know the money raised from our event will stay in the community in which I grew up,” says Phil,” and that the service we support will be used by people I know.”
The Great Ocean Pool Crawl is a family-friendly, non-competitive event. It will be held on Sunday March 6.
