A woman has been airlifted to hospital after suffering a leg injury near Hell Hole Beach this afternoon.
The rescue operation command centre was established at Otford after the woman, believed to be in her 50s suffered the fall at the beach, also known as Werrong.
Hell Hole is a popular nudist beach at the base of a cliff in the Royal National Park
Wollongong Council staff were called on to assist in the rescue before the helicopter was able to retrieve the woman from the remote location, just north of Bulgo.
