There will be traffic troubles right across the Northern Illawarra in coming days.
Firstly, Bulli Pass will be closed THURSDAY SEPTEMBER 17 between 9am and 3pm.
This is to allow tree-trimming, clearing, drain repairs and the installation of new road signs.
The RMS says the work is being done during daylight hours so the workers have clear visibility when they’re working near dangerous edges. They say it’s better to close the road for a day and get it over with, rather than have traffic m management in place for several days, causing lengthy delays.
The road will be closed near George’s Avenue and at the northbound entrance to the Pass from Lawrence Hargrave Drive.
Traffic control officers will be on hand to help residents in the affected areas.
Don’t forget because it’s a long way round if you make a mistake!
Then next week, between Monday September 21 and Sunday September 27, maintenance work will be carried out on Lawrence Hargrave Drive between Park Street and Squires Crescent in Coledale.
The work will be done between 7pm and 5am with diversions via Squires Crescent, Rawson Street, Young Street, Cater Street and Northcote Street.
And… roadworks will also be carried out on Lawrence Hargrave Drive between Coledale Hospital and Morrison Avenue in Wombarra. A reduced speed limit of 40km/hr will be in place, with traffic controls.
The work is part of a $900,000 State Government allocation for maintenance.
