Sydney’s loss was definitely Wollongong’s gain, when heavy hitter, Curtis Martin recently moved to Stanwell Tops, bringing two decades of drumming expertise with him.
After high school he decided to get serious and studied at the Australian Institute of Music for three years graduating with associate diploma in music majoring in drums, and by this stage was already gigging regularly around Sydney, going on to play with bands such as Black Fate, Cyanide, N-Eleven, Cell, Gillius Thunderhead, JC Blues, Parker, Mother Mars, Richard Madden Band, The Jones’ and Bad Voodoo.
“23 years after first picking up the sticks I am still as passionate as ever, currently recording and playing shows with long time friend Johhny Cass, and playing in Rolling Stoned, Doors Alive and the Australian Muddy Waters Tribute.”
“The Australian Muddy Waters show has been a very exciting project bringing together some of this countries finest and most notable blues players including: Dom Turner, Ian Collard, Don Hopkins, Jeremy Edwards, and Tim Curnick.”
