Wollongong City Council is looking to install CCTV cameras in Helensburgh Library.
Council has a policy on the use of CCTV cameras, to ensure libraries, community centres and other public spaces are safe, while at the same time, respecting our privacy. There are currently CCTV cameras at libraries across the city. But not in Helensburgh. Yet.
A safety audit has already carried out, with the Police recommending they be installed.
The Community Consultation process will run from August 15- August 31.
