Week long run of virtually no waves looks set to end this weekend so there is some hope for some surfable waves on the horizon.
Late Friday and into Saturday will herald the arrival of an inconsistent southern groundswell 2/3ft on the south facing beaches and smaller elsewhere around 2ft. Winds will be light offshore from the W/NW early turning onshore later from the N/E.
Sunday will be a cocktail of swells with a fading south groundswell around 2ft and a building E/NE swell 2/3ft early and gaining size later in the day up to 3/4ft on the more exposed beaches. Light W/NW winds early then swinging around from the N/E in the afternoon.
Best spots along the coal coast, Stanwell, Coalcliff, Scarborough, Sharkeys and Thirroul.
