Cooler winter conditions have finally arrived with a cold blast from the south west just to remind us of what to expect in the coming months.
Surfwise this weekend looks promising with a new swell from the south expected to start building late Friday into Saturday.
2/3ft early on Saturday at south swell magnets and the more exposed beaches with potentially bigger sets 4ft+ later in the day.
Winds offshore all day from the S/W west strong at times.
Sunday 2/3ft+ of south swell with larger 4/5ft+ waves along the open south facing beaches with winds prevailing from the W/SW keeping temps cool in the water.
Best spots; Coalcliff, Coledale, Sharkeys, McCauleys, and Sandon Pt.
