Thanks to tropical cyclone Sandra there will be plenty of surf around this weekend after a fairly average week of wave activity for surfers.
With the arrival of a N/E groundswell late Thursday and into Friday, Saturday will see clean waves early around 4-6ft with the odd bigger set wave albeit inconsistent between sets. Winds light W/SW early turning light onshore from the E/NE later in the day.
N/E groundswell set to continue into Sunday although easing back a notch in size to around 3-4ft. South windswell expected to build through the day 3ft+ and potentially bigger later in the day on the more open stretches 5-6ft+
Moderate to strong winds early from the S/SW tending more onshore from the south.
Best options Stanwell, Coalcliff, Scarborough, Sharkies, Austi and Thirroul + the local reef and point breaks.
