C3 Church at Thirroul are returning with their popular annual cooking event, on Wednesday 17th September at 7pm, this year including fresh produce markets.
“We have run a cooking show for the last five years involving a cooking demonstration from a local chef and caterer and tastings for those that come.” said event coordinator Gail Muir.
“It is a great social night enjoyed by all as the food is amazing but also benefits some worthwhile community project.”
“We usually have a large number of women between 100-200 but this year we thought we would incorporate a fresh produce market as well, particularly with the popularity of the recent Forager’s Markets at Bulli.”
“Our church is also assisting the Thirroul Neighbourhood Centre with there Food Barn 2014 for emergency relief for families and so proceeds from our night will go to assist this project. Other years we have benefited different families who have been doing it tough.”
“We hope to have fresh produce, flowers and crafts for sale as well as the Cooking demonstration from Reay’s Catering – a local caterer from Woonona. There will be tastings of 3 courses.”
The cost for the night is $15 and bookings can be made at our church office on 4268 1588 or online.
