This week Bridgette Beecroft and Helen Johnstone from Thirroul competed in the highly competitive Sutherland Shire Eisteddfod and won first place in 12/under Modern Expressive Duo.
“I am so proud of the hard work these girls have put in to achieve such outstanding results.”, says Katie Reid, Principal at the Thirroul Dance Academy, “Our performance troupes and solo competitors have enjoyed ongoing and increasing success over the last few years. It is such a wonderful feeling working with such talented and motivated students.”
Katie has been teaching Bridgette and Helen since they were three years old and the pair have now been dancing together for two years. Katie’s career highlights include working with Opera Australia, Sydney Dance Co and includes various film credits.
