The RMS has updated information about the thousands of tonnes of rock to be brought in to the Northern Illawarra for maintenance work on the Sea Cliff Bridge.
The RMS says we can expect between 20 and 25 truckloads each day with the approved route taking trucks in and out from Stanwell Park, which means they’ll be using Bald Hill.
That’s fifty truck movements up and down Bald Hill between 8am-3pm every day for a month.
Nine thousand tonnes of boulders will be used to protect the bridge from erosion caused by the ocean. They’ll be trucked from Albion Park to a stockpile at Coalcliff before being moved into place.
