Behind the Bulli Community Centre, there is a patch of ground which is currently just lying there; it serves no useful purpose other than to be a part of a dream. The dream belongs to Elizabeth Brassaud, manager of the centre who visualises a truly peaceful, community space.
“In my dream, I see this patch of land being transformed by the people of Woonona Bulli, into a garden where everyone, who wants to, can sit and reflect on how wonderful nature is.” said Elizabeth. “They can take in the scent of the flowers, the peace and the quiet and allow themselves to drift away from the cares of the world, or grow some vegetables or even a herb garden.”
If you love gardening and want to join others with the same interest or you don’t have any room at home to grow a garden, meet new friends, work with nature and help create life, then the Bulli Community Centre is seeking expressions of interest from the local community regarding the establishment of community gardens for the Woonona Bulli area.
